9 PROGRESS REPORTS

4.4.9 Progress reports: Clause 4.21

Unless otherwise stated in the Particular Conditions, monthly progress

reports have to be prepared and submitted by the Contractor to the Engineer

(Yellow Book) or Employer (Silver).

The reports have to contain detailed information

6

about the state of the works

up to the end of the preceding calendar month; they must continue to be made

until the Contractor has completed all the work which is known to be outstanding

at the completion date stated in the Taking Over Certificate (see Section 4.10).

6

See Section 4.8 below for a summary of what information is required under clause 4.21.

The contracts treat the obligation to provide progress reports seriously and

the non-provision of the required report will prevent the Contractor obtaining

an interim payment (clause 14.3).
