8.1 COMMENCEMENT AND TIME FOR COMPLETION OF THE WORKS

4.8.1 Commencement and time for completion of the works: Clauses 8.1 and 8.2

Clause 8.1 of the Books provides for the

contract commencement date to be

notified to the Contractor by the Engineer or Employer at least 7 days prior

to the commencement date, and (unless otherwise stated in the contract)

for  that date to be within 42 days of the date when the contract came
