. The TOEIC test is a two-hour multiple-choice test that consists of 200 questions divided into two sections: listening comprehension and reading comprehension. An examinee‟s score is based on the number of questions correctly answered, in increments of five points; both the listening and reading sections of the test are thus graded on a scale of 5 – 495 for a combined maximum score of 990 points. There is no penalty for wrong answers and examinees are encouraged to guess as this increases their potential for a higher score.
