“That” thay thế được cho “ Whom,Which,Who” nhưng “That” ko dùng đc trong câu ko xác định và trong câu có tên riêng.

Ex : the water is so hot that I cann’t drinhk it  S + V(not) + adj/adv + enough + (for-sb) + to V : đủ….. để làm…… Ex : this book is cheap(rẻ) enough for me to buy The water is not hot enough for me to drink  It + be + such +a/an/the + adj + N +that + mệnh đề : quá…..đến nỗi mà Ex : the book is so good that I cann’t put in down(đặt xuống)  It is such a good book that I cann’t put in down

Tóm lại : - V + too + adj/adv

- V +adj/adv enough

- S + V +so + adj/adv+ that

- It + be + such + a/an/the +adj/adv + N+that



Các loại so sánh : be+adj và V + adv = adj + ly

 So sánh hơn I. Với adj/adv ngắn : S1 + be +adj(ngắn) + er + than+S2 S1 + V + adv (ngắn) +er + than + S2 Adj , adv ngắn có nghĩa là có 1 âm tiết như : tall,small,cheap……. Ex : the book is cheaper than that one (that one la thay thế cho book2 nên ta ko cần phải viết lại từ “ book” nữa)  Đặc biệt: - khi thêm đuôi “ er” mà trước phụ âm cuối cùng của từ đó có 1 nguyên âm ( o,e,a,i,u) thì gấp đôi phụ âm đó lênex:hot=>hotter,big=>bigger. - các adj sau ko thêm đuôi “ ly” ma thêm đuôi “er” luôn : early, late,hard,fast… Ex : ba work harder than me Tom drives faster than than us. -good=>better,bad=>worse. II. Với adj/adv dài : S1 + be + more adj( dài )+ than +S2 S1 + V +more adv(dài) + than +S2 Adj/adv dài có nghĩa là có 2 âm tiết trở lên . ex : wonderful,dangerous,….. Ex : she is more beautiful than me She dances more beautifully than me.  So sánh ngang bằng S1 + be + as + adj + as +S2 S1 + V +as + adv + as + S2 Ex : Ba is as tall as me Tom drives as carefully(cẩn thận) as me  In order to + V(nguyen) So as to + V(nguyen) So that + mệnh đề( chứa can,will,may) In or that cũng giống so that  Tât cả 4 cái trên đều có nghĩa chỉ mục đích Ex : In order to learn well you must learn harder People use money so that they can buy things they need  Must : phải + V (nguyên)  Đuôi danh từ : ation,ion,ness,ity,ence,sion,ment…..ex: communication,government…  Đuôi tính từ : ous,y,tific,full,less,ial……ex: dangerous,useful……  Các từ có đuôi “ly” đa số là trạng từ(adv) trừ các tính từ sau: lovely,lively,likely,friendly,…  How many/how much  How many + danh tu (N) dem dc so nhieu Ex : how many trees are there in the park (how many lun dung tobe la “are”)  How much + N ko dem dc Ex : how much water is there in this book (how many lun dung tobe la “is”) How much còn dùng để hỏi giá cả How much + tobe +S? Ex : how much is this TV? How much are those fans? How much + do/does + S +cost? Ex : how much do those fans cost?
