2.3.3.1. Pre-test

To find out whether all the participants were at the similar level of vocabulary knowledge

before the study in order to obtain the reliability for the research, a pre-test was conducted.

The test consisted of 4 parts: Multiple choice, Matching exercise, Odd one out and Cloze-

test. The items in the tests were based on the GE course book that students had just studied

with.
