3 hours/day29 Table 4.a shows that most of the students spend very little time, less than 30 minutes per day (making up 37%), studying and doing English grammar exercises. In addition, 4% the students spend no time on it. Moreover, there is the low number of them spending more time, 3/2 hours per day (only 4%) and 3 hours per day (6%), practicing grammar. Generally, the number of the students spend more time on English grammar is extremely low (7 students), which is not advisable to the method “providing plentiful, appropriate language input” that linguistics demonstrated. As can be clearly seen that more than half of the students respond that they usually attend grammar periods of TOEIC class. Plus, more than one fourth of the students (26%) is usually absent from TOEIC class, whereas less than a quarter of them (23%) always attends TOEIC class. In general, most of the students don‟t care about the attendance at grammar periods. 30
