1.1 Definitions of clause
There are many definitions of clause which are written by many authors, we will
consider some definitions of clause below.
A clause is a group of word which form a grammatical unit and which contain a
subject or no subject and a verb, part of a sentence and often function as a noun
(nominal clause),an adverb (adverbial clause) or part of a phrase and often
function as an adjective (adjective clause).
Like a phrase, a clause is a group of related words, but unlike a phrase, a clause
has a subject and predicate (Wikipedia)
A clause is a part of a sentence. There are two main types: independent (main
clauses), dependent (subordinate clauses).
