SECURITY GROUPS ALLOW NETWORK ADMINISTRATORS EFFICIENTLY DELEGATE A...

2. Security groups allow network administrators efficiently delegate administrative

responsibilities for performing specific tasks in Active Directory. As an example, an

administrator might have a group of six help desk workers that they wish to assign

the ability to reset user passwords. By placing these six users in a group and then

delegating this ability to the group, they can easily allow these users to perform

this specific task that might otherwise be outside their standard permissions.

Again, using groups this way allows the network administrator to move users in

and out of the group as required.
