The graph/chart/diagram indicates/shows consumer price indexes of Vietnam

through the months of the year 2007.

As can be seen, the indexes of food and staple food, the common index, and

even that of USD all increased with varied patterns.

Most obviously the gold price rose the highest of all up to 127.2% in December

2007 compared to the end of the year 2006, which went up dramatically with its two

peaks at 137% in the second quarter and 129% in the third quarter of the year.

The USD price and the food price were comparatively stable, in which the

former was remarkably lower than that of the gold and other consumer goods with the

percentage of December 2007 increasing only by 1% while the latter went up sharply

by 5% in February and afterwards decreased a little and increased slightly by 5.5% in

the end of the year 2007 vs the end of the year 2006. This was just under the rise in the

percentage of the common index.

There was a gradual and, after that, dramatic growth in the staple food price

during the last months of the year. Accordingly, the staple food price went up by 14.1%

compared to December 2006.

The common index in December 2007 climbed up to 106%, less than one-fifth

of that of the gold price in the same period.

To sum up/In brief/In conclusion, the statistics show that while the index of the

USD price changed little while that of other consumer goods mounted higher partly due

to the rise in the gold price. However, there is still an optimistic signal that the common

index didn’t ascend much.

SOLUTIONS:

- provide a friendly, mutually-affectionate, helpful and collective environment

for school students to live in, so as to foster friendliness, helpfulness, solidarity and to

abolish autism, unfriendliness, hostility.
