Your performance in the real IELTS test will be reported in two ways: there will be a Band

(see pages 10-15)

Score from 1 to 9 for each of the modules; and an Overall Band Score from 1 to 9, which isthe average of your scores in the four modules. For example, if you score Band 6 forListening, Band 6 for Reading, Band 5 for Writing and Band 7 for Speaking, your Overall

General Points

Band Score will be:Put a tick (v) next to each correct answer and a cross (x) next to each wrong one. Each tick willequal one mark.You will see from this example that a lower score in one module can be compensated for bySingle letter/number answersgood scores in the others.
