Alexander Graham Bell was born in 1847 in Edinburgh,scotland. As a boy,Bell became
interested in sounds and speech.In his life,he had two times to emigrate. He emigrated first to
Canada and then to the USA.
In America, he worked with deaf-mutes at Boston University.There he began
experimenting with a machine to help the deaf hear.While experimenting with this machine,Bell
had an idea.This led to the invention of the telephone.
Bell demonstrated his invention to the public at countless exhibitions,and by 1877 the
first telephone was in commercial use
