markers Archive attributes that mark a file as having been backed up. During incre-mental or differential backups, markers are used to determine whether a file haschanged since the last backup.
normal backup A backup type in which all selected files and folders are backed up,regardless of their marker. During a normal backup, all files are marked as havingbeen backed up.
System State Configuration information that includes the Windows Registry andimportant configuration files.
