h) Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland on March 3, 1847.First he emigrated to Canada, then to the USA in the 1870s. He
worked with deaf-mutes at Boston University and started experimenting with ways of transmitting speech over a long distance. This led
to the invention of the telephone . In 1876 he introduced the telephone and by 1877 the first telephone was in commercial use.
