4. Click the Policy Moduletab. A policy module defines how the CA han-dles incoming certificate requests. Notice in Figure 12.9 that theWindows default policy is listed. The Selectbutton is used to choose adifferent policy module, usually a customized version. Click thePropertiesbutton (see Figure 12.10). The default setting tells the CA tofollow the settings in the certificate template if applicable and to auto-matically issue the certificate otherwise. The other setting tags allincoming requests to pendingstatus, forcing the administrator to man-ually approve or deny each certificate request. Keep the default settingand click OKto return to the CA property sheet.
