I’m Mary. I’m a pianist. I’m twelve years old. I began studying the piano when I was
three years old. I play the piano in the junior orchestra at a community college. We give
a concert twice a year. I’m always practicing new music for the new concert.
During the school year, I take four piano lessons every week from my piano teacher,
Mrs. Taylor. She teaches piano lessons at the college. In the summer, I practice playing
the piano about twelve hours every week. I work very hard because I want to learn
everything about playing the piano. The piano is a very interesting instrument to play. I
like reading the notes, moving my fingers on the keys and hearing the beautiful music.
It is quite difficult, but I always practice until I can play the music perfectly. I’m not
sure what I want to be when I grow up. I do know that playing the piano will always be
a major part of my life. It is very special to me.
