1.3.2.4.1. Wall pictures and wall charts According to Bowen (1982: 13):
A
wall chart is a large diagram or picture display card. Most wall charts consist of
combinations of visual and verbal material. Their aim is to give information on topic.
A wall
picture, on the other hand, is simply a large illustration of a scene or event, or a set of scenes or
events.
In Visuals for the Language Classroom, Wright and Haleem (1991: 44) also offer a very simple bur clear definition of wall picture as “Wall pictures illustrate scenes, people or objects and are large enough to be seen by all the students”.
